SUMMER CAPSULE: WHAT I ACTUALLY WORE ON VACATION

A week away between lakes and forests
This summer, I spent five days travelling through South Estonia in a motorhome with my family. We moved from lake to lake, explored nature, visited our future home, celebrated with friends, went cycling, read books and simply enjoyed being together.
When I packed my wardrobe, I chose pieces that are versatile and easy to match. Some warm cardigans, summer dresses and shorts, all in the softest fabrics to keep me comfortable while traveling and having adventures with the children but elegant enough to make spontaneous stops in local restaurants on the way. Here's a little overview of what I packed.

What I wore the most
Shorts! My most worn item was this pair of Dalea shorts made of wool-cashmere blend tweed. These shorts really fit on every occasion. I wore them to the beach, to a birthday party, to everyday outings like driving to see our house that is being built. They pair beautifully with a soft pastel color palette, but also with black and other darker colors. A perfect staple I can rely on, truly.
The biggest surpriser
This spring, with launching our new collection, we made this pair of bamboo pants made-to-measure especially for me, tailored to fit perfectly for the photoshoot. It had been a really long time since I had any type of long pants in my wardrobe. I usually wear dresses and skirts because I have always preferred them. So these pants were actually sitting in my closet until this vacation.
I decided to pair the bamboo pants with a long cashmere cardigan in a similar shade, and to my surprise, it became an instant favourite. Of course, I'm not surprised that the combination looked beautiful and felt comfortable, it is my own design after all. But because I have always preferred dresses and skirts, I was surprised by how good I felt wearing this outfit. It was the perfect choice for a cloudy day by the lake.
Comfort is part of elegance
Another piece I wore again and again was my cotton seersucker shirt dress that we have originally in the collection as blue-white striped but mine is a custom color white. It became one of those effortless pieces that I didn't have to think twice about packing or wearing. I wore it on our campervan trip through South Estonia, to the zoo with the children, and later again for a café visit and shopping with my sister. It felt equally right surrounded by nature as it did in the city. I love how easy this dress is to wear. The cotton seersucker fabric feels light and breathable on warm summer days, while the relaxed silhouette makes it comfortable from morning until evening. What I also love about dresses is that you have one less choice to make about styling a top and a bottom. Sometimes the best pieces are the ones you simply put on and know they will work, wherever the day takes you.

A familiar favorite styled in a new way
Even in summer, Estonia reminds us that a beautiful layer is essential. Last summer, my black silk slip dress was one of the pieces I wore the most. It travelled with us on our campervan trip, and I reached for it again and again because it is such an effortless and timeless piece. Last summer I mostly layered the dress with a long cashmere cardigan. This summer, I wanted to give it a fresh feeling by styling it with the bamboo blazer with a matching belt from the new collection. The combination of the delicate silk dress and the soft structured blazer creates a completely different look, while still feeling very much like me. This outfit was perfect for a summer evening when I wanted to feel comfortable, but a little more dressed up.
Looking back at this summer vacation, I was reminded once again how much I value pieces that can adapt to different moments in life. The most special items in my wardrobe are not always the newest ones, but the ones that I return to year after year and find new ways to wear.
I love when a piece in my wardrobe gets a new life through styling. Instead of always looking for something new, sometimes it is enough to combine a beloved favorite in a new way. A truly well-made garment becomes part of your life and continues to make you feel confident and good every day.
