SNEAK PEEK: CREATING THE SS26 COLLECTION

IT ALL STARTED WITH THE FABRIC THAT SHAPED THE COLLECTION

Spring is coming up so fast, and with it, our new spring-summer collection! I started designing this collection in my mind last May. It actually started with one fabric and a custom order. One of the clients lives in Cyprus and she wanted something casual but most importantly, comfortable in hot weather. Linen was quite popular last summer but I wanted to minimize wrinkling. We finally found this beautiful bamboo fabric! There was something special about it: it felt soft, relaxed, effortless. It reminded me a little of linen, but bamboo is much softer and smoother on the skin. Even if it wrinkles a little in moist and hot weather, the wrinkles fall out pretty quickly on their own.

We custom made her a set of skirt + top + shorts that she could combine outfits with and it was absolutely stunning. From that on, I had this fabric on my mind. What I love about this fabric, is that it it drapes in a very elegant way and it gives you that relaxed summer feeling, without looking too casual. That’s why I decided to build several pieces around it: a pant suit, shorts, and also a crop top with an A-line skirt. The idea is that you can wear them separately for everyday moments, or together when you want something a little more polished.

CUSTOM PIECES AND PRE-LAUNCH ORDERS

The collection will officially launch in April, but we are already making some pieces for our clients. As always custom options are available: for example we’re making this Bamboo jacket in blue, a dress with different sleeves and we even had a fabric especially dyed bright green to custom make it for a client. THE VISION FOR THIS COLLECTION

After the bamboo fabric was found, the vision started come together: I wanted to design something a little more casual. Casual elegance sounds simple, but it's actually very hard to design. But I want even casual pieces to carry a certain high-end feeling. So the real challenge is finding that middle ground: For me, casual isn't just jeans and a T-shirt, but it still fills that role in a woman's wardrobe. After half a year, I asked the client we made this custom bamboo set originally, is she happy with it? And I got the confirmation that indeed she loves it and I need to add this fabric to our collection.

Following the bamboo fabric, I discovered an incredibly soft white silk jacquard that immediately embodied summer elegance. Silk, as we know, is one of the most timeless and refined choices for warm-weather dressing, and it felt like a natural addition to the collection.

A LIMITED EDITION DRESS

We also decided to bring back one of our most loved designs in an exclusive new color: the Legazpia dress. This will be a very limited release, with fabric available for only five dresses. I myself have a plaid black seersucker one and I always get compliments when I wear it so it felt right to bring this piece back. This is something that I find sustainable as well, why not make it again if people would love to wear it!

The final addition to the collection is cotton seersucker which is another client favorite and a reliable choice for summer. From this fabric, I’ve previously designed a midi-length coat dress and I saw potential in recreating it as a light, short jacket, that can be effortlessly layered over dresses on cooler days or evenings.

Selecting the final 12 pieces was, as always, a challenge. But I believe we’ve chosen the designs that women truly want and need in their wardrobes: pieces that feel effortless, versatile, and quietly luxurious. I’m incredibly excited to show you this collection, but until then stay tuned!
