FW25 THE RESILIENT BLOOM
There’s a special kind of excitement that comes with unveiling a new collection — it’s both a conclusion and a beginning. With these photos, I’m thrilled to share the launch of our latest collection, The Resilient Bloom. I’ve usually felt more comfortable in the background— guiding the process, adjusting the styling, perfecting the details. Yet this is my third time stepping in front of the lens as the face of Marimo’s collection, and with each experience, it feels a little more natural. It feels important for me to appear not as a model, but as a woman who wears and lives in these pieces every day. Being more petite than our usual models, I also wanted to show how Marimo garments adapt beautifully to different body shapes.
I felt completely at ease thanks to the wonderful photographer Julia Astok and the prettiest hair and makeup by Elis Niils. I’m endlessly grateful to our amazing team for organizing everything with such warmth and professionalism, and to our talented constructors and tailors who brought every detail of my vision to life.
The Inspiration Behind the Collection
I wanted to design pieces that feel truly special for the festive season— yet practical enough to wear again and again. Evening gowns and cocktail dresses often stay in the closet after one event, waiting for another occasion that rarely comes. So I focused on creating separates — elegant tops and skirts that can be styled together for an elevated festive look, and later transformed into everyday outfits.
The starting point for the collection was a white silk organza embroidered with gold abstract leaves and flowers. The sheerness of the fabric felt light yet strong. It reminded me of nature’s quiet endurance — how even the most delicate forms survive winter and return renewed.
Styling the Collection
As with all Marimo collections, I intentionally limited myself to just 14 pieces, focusing on garments that harmonize with previous designs. Sustainability is always at the heart of Marimo — not only in materials, but in creating timeless pieces that adapt to many occasions and seasons. Styling plays a crucial role in this philosophy.
Take the festive midi skirt in silk organza: it radiates elegance when styled with heels and a refined top, yet pairs effortlessly with a T-shirt and sneakers for a chic daytime look. Similarly, the organza shirt can transform from a festive statement piece to a smart-casual layer worn over a simple slip dress or skirt.
These small transformations remind me why I design — to create pieces that live with you, not just in your wardrobe, but in your everyday moments.
Blending Tradition and Innovation
At Marimo, we’ve always aimed to stay one step ahead — not by chasing trends, but by exploring new ways to express creativity. During the pandemic, we began sharing how to style our garments on social media — this time, our curiosity led us into the world of AI. I wanted to see my sketches come to life in a new way, and that’s how these videos were born — a dialogue between craftsmanship and technology, between the timeless and the modern.
