QUIET LUXURY: HOW MINIMALISM AND QUALITY DEFINE MARIMO

I’m a minimalist by nature, and I’ve built my lifestyle around having as few things as possible. I believe that when we own too many belongings, it leaves little room for clear thoughts. That’s why I like everything to be in order — both at home and in my life. With fewer things, it’s easier to stay organized.

The power of a well-curated wardrobe

I also love having an organized wardrobe, which is best achieved with a capsule wardrobe — a collection of pieces you truly love and can easily mix and match. I enjoy organizing my wardrobe by categories and colors to make it easier to find what I need each day. I also carefully consider how I can combine different pieces to simplify my everyday life. This philosophy has naturally carried over to my clothing brand. At Marimo, we create sustainability-driven fashion with the most well-fitting and empowering high-quality garments and capsule wardrobes.

Wearable elegance

I’ve always been drawn to wearable garments, not to pieces that look great on stage but end up sitting in an exhibition hall after the big show. I believe there’s little point in creating pieces that don’t make a meaningful impact, even if they could be considered works of art. My goal has always been to develop a style language that focuses on wearable garments — pieces that are timeless, stylish, and minimal, offering more than just another item of clothing.

Sustainability and precision in every piece

Quality and long-lasting garments are what matter most to me, which is why at Marimo, we focus on sustainable production. We’ve developed a system where we produce only samples and made-to-order pieces. We don’t hold large stock because we want to avoid overproduction. Our goal is to create pieces that people truly need and love to wear. Each piece is crafted with precision and care in our in-house atelier located in Tallinn’s Old Town.

A thoughtful approach to design and styling

Together with my team, we share styling hacks on various social media channels to make your life easier by offering practical ideas on how to get the most out of each piece in your wardrobe. Every time I create a collection, I limit it to a maximum of 12 pieces because I’ve learned that collections don’t need to be large — quantity isn’t important, quality is. I always focus on pieces women are looking for, constantly taking notes after conversations with our customers. It’s important to me to get to know each of our customers to better understand what’s missing in stores.

Marimo pieces are minimal yet luxurious. It’s quiet luxury at its best — the finest fabrics paired with impeccable tailoring. As our customers often say, they receive compliments when wearing Marimo garments, not because the pieces are flashy but because they fit so well and exude understated elegance. Our garments empower today’s modern woman to walk with confidence, allowing her energy to be the brightest light in the room.

With love & gratitude,
