CROSSING INTO A NEW CHAPTER OF ME

A Birthday season filled with milestones

A couple of weeks ago, one of our dear Estonian customers was in the boutique. We were having tea when she said: "This year has been a breakthrough year for you." I hadn't really thought about it that way, because, like all of us, there's so much going on behind the scenes and not everything always goes smoothly, but this year truly has been full of surprises and highlights - and funnily enough, many of them happened right around my birthday. Last year, I could not have imagined I'd be spending this much time on an airplanes this year, but here I am, just landed back home two days ago.

Travel & Career Milestones

I just arrived home from Chicago. After being chosen to participate in the presidential delegation this October, I made so many new connections in Chicago that it made perfect sense to go back there right away! And so began the journey of organizing Marimo's first Trunk show in the U.S.! It was wonderful meeting all those amazing women, and I can't wait to be back there again in just a couple of months!

This year brought us together with a retailer in NYC - The Canvas Store; it brought us my first photoshoot in NYC, a beautiful collaboration with Miele, and many new dreams how to grow my brand! From discovering the states, to meeting our international customers, hosting some of them here in Estonia, to many evenings with our local loyal customers who have formed a true community - it’s been a year filled with meaningful steps forward.

Family Life

You can really feel the years are passing because the kids are growing so fast! Emma started school, and the boys began at a new kindergarten, which meant that everything changed on September 1st. Emma also joined a sports swimming group, so we've been watching more swimming competitions than ever.

So much has happened in our family this year - starting to build our dream house has been such a big chapter for us and we can’t wait for it to be ready so we can move in and start living our long-time dream in the countryside.

Running

Running has been a big part of my year, just as it has always been a big part of my life. This year has been filled with mixed emotions - I had such great training until September and even ran several new personal bests in the 10K. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to run the half marathon I had trained for, as I've been dealing with an injury for a few months now.

I know it's just a phase, but it has been a bit hard not being able to go for my morning runs lately.. but a great thing is that I got to run in NYC while I was there, and out of all the places, I "ran into" (pun intended) a dear client of ours! What a small world...

December in Our Family

December is a special month for us - it’s full of birthdays. Emma, Evan, and I all celebrate this month, so it always feels extra festive and full of love. We already made our first batch of gingerbread dough in November and have baked gingerbreads several times, but I still have a lot of baking ahead, including kids' birthday cakes. As you may know, I always make the birthday cakes myself. It's a wonderful way to unwind and be creative at the same time. The kids have been sharing their birthday cake wishes with me for the past six months, so my plan now is to make their dreams come true. Plus, we have all these Christmas celebrations - they already started at the end of November with Raido's company Thorgate Christmas party.

Making the Holiday Season Magical

I’m especially excited for Christmas this year. I've prepared extra special holiday tableware for us, and since it will most likely be our last Christmas in this home, I want to make the most of it. This flat has been wonderful to us, and it always feels special to celebrate Christmas here. And I can’t share too much yet, but I’ve prepared something personal and meaningful for Raido - as always, a gift from the heart.

As I look back on this whirlwind of a year, I’m simply grateful — for the growth, the lessons, the surprises, and the people who’ve been part of it all. Here’s to carrying this momentum, this joy, and this hope into the year ahead. I’m ready to welcome 40!

Warmly,
