CREATING THE FALL-WINTER 2025 COLLECTION
Some fabrics have been quietly following me for a while — waiting for their moment. I kept them close, knowing they would eventually find their place. And now, with our Fall-Winter 2025 collection, they finally do.
Everything started with this fabric—the golden motifs to me resembled delicate climbing vines or flowers, almost like those trailing up the side of an old castle wall or garden. The gold and white color palette made me dream of the way morning frost outlines leaves and branches in a shimmering, golden-white glow. These motifs shimmer subtly, revealing themselves only in movement—like hidden treasures in a winter garden. From there, other fabrics followed. Complementing these luminous pieces are deep black textiles, sparkling with crystals or woven with subtle metallic threads. Together, this festive selection shaped the vision for an elegant, elevated collection.
This influence naturally led me to design garments that feel festive and refined—pieces that can move gracefully from a winter concert to an intimate dinner. Yet, they remain true to the essence of Marimo: understated confidence, purposeful design, and versatility. Equally important was staying rooted in our capsule wardrobe philosophy—creating a small, thoughtful collection where each piece carries meaning and can be styled in multiple ways. The cuts themselves were designed to be timeless and feminine, tailored and structured to balance the richness of the fabrics. Structured and sculptural, these silhouettes hold their form like architecture, embodying the elegance of modern sophistication and enduring style.
Now the sketches are ready, and the final lineup has come together. We’re in the heart of bringing these designs to life in our atelier — fittings, adjustments, and countless details that turn ideas into garments. It took time to get here, perhaps longer than usual, because the next collection is already so vivid in my mind. That vision sometimes made it harder to stay fully present with FW25. But the direction is now clear, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.
The FW25 collection is in the works, and it’s finally taking shape. I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been creating.
